The Contagious Adventist
By Becky Wilson
What does it mean to be a ‘contagious’ Adventist? It means exposing the world to two incredibly infectious germs: the Gospel and your testimony.
Most of us know the Gospel message just enough to gently sneeze on someone, apologize, and offer a Kleenex. The personal testimonies of many of us might require only a Zicam and a good night’s sleep to recover.
Have we become non-communicable diseases?
We are called to be so epidemic that people would need to wear a Haz Mat suit to keep from being infected. We are promised the Holy Spirit on a pandemic magnitude. The Gospel could spread like wildfire and Satan wouldn’t be able to inoculate people fast enough. The incubation period of the great controversy could have been over a hundred years ago, but we have developed the mindset that God is waiting for the world to prove how sick it can get. This is not true. He’s waiting for us to prove He can heal anyone.
If the powers of the Gospel and your personal testimony have been misdiagnosed or gone completely undiagnosed for far too long, maybe now is a good time to call the Great Physician for an appointment. He makes house calls, you know.
“The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings…”
Pray to become a Contagious Adventist so the world will know Him and what He’s done for you.
