Dreams Can Come True!
By Ginny Allen
We have been in our new church building for a little over 10 years now. Many of us can still remember the selling of our old church and excitement of building the new church. Then came moving day - first into the fellowship hall, later into the sanctuary. It was the beginning of our dream come true. But it was just the beginning. Our hope, our prayer, was that our new church would be a light in our community. That it was why we renamed our church the Community Seventh-day Adventist Church.
We didn't build the church just for the members back then. We built the new church while dreaming, planning, hoping, and praying for those that would join us, those that would find Jesus here. We have seen our numbers grow. Sometimes we might even be concerned a bit that now we don't know everyone! But wasn't that part of the dream? That's why our church believes so strongly in evangelism. We want to find people who need to find Jesus.
“They praised God and were liked by all the people. Every day the Lord added those who were being saved to the group of believers.”
Acts 2:47 NCV
Ask God to put a sense of mission in your heart for evangelism that will keep you seeking for those that need to know Jesus.
